Finance Manager – WV Squared Distribution

WV Squared Distribution is seeking an experienced
Finance Manager

to join our dynamic and fast-growing distribution business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations across multiple companies and brands, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in every area of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management and Reporting

-Conduct month-end financial reporting and present financial results to management.

-Develop and manage cash flow projections and financial budgets.

-Conduct budget vs actual analysis and provide actionable insights.

-Manage trade finance operations.

-Review and oversee legal agreements to ensure compliance.

-Support directors with ad-hoc financial and operational tasks.

2. Accounts Management

-Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and creditor/debtor records.

-Prepare and submit VAT returns for multiple companies.

-Oversee salary, interest, and loan journals.

-Conduct and review bank reconciliations across all entities.

3. Inventory, Costing, and Warehouse Oversight

-Oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, and regular stock takes.

-Manage and verify stock costings, manufacturing stock, and stock adjustments.

-Maintain accurate stock control and reconciliations.

4. Systems and Compliance

-Implement and manage ERP systems (Revelation/SYSPRO) and provide team training.

-Collaborate closely with external auditors to support financial audits.

-Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

5. Leadership and Team Management

-Oversee and mentor the finance team, managing performance and addressing issues proactively.

-Administer disciplinary actions where necessary.

-Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including management, staff, auditors, and partners.

Requirements

-Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.

-Proven experience managing financial operations across multiple companies or divisions.

-Strong background in distribution, FMCG, or product-based industries.

-Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.

-Experience working with ERP systems (preferably Revelation or SYSPRO).

-Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

-Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
