Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa Rasnco Consulting Engineers Full time R1 200 000 - R2 400 000 per year

Rasnco Consulting Engineers is urgently looking for a Structural Engineer/Technologist to Join our team at our Midrand Office and on-site in Mpumalanga (Middleburg) to start immediately or latest 1st of November 2025 on A FIXED CONTRACT of 12 Months with the possibility of being employed permanently. Remuneration negotiable based on experience. 

Key Qualification, Experience and Skills Minimum Requirements:

·       Must have a BTech, BEng or BSC in Civil Engineering

·       Must have 10 years in managing construction teams for structural engineering work such a placement of concrete of bridges on SANRAL contracts

·       Must have own vehicle

·       Professional Registration with either ECSA or SACPCMP will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Supervise construction activities of bridges and culverts to ensure alignment with design specifications, quality standards and project timelines.

·       Perform site inspections to verify quality and safety.

·       Addressing structural issues that arise during the construction process.

·       Monitor construction progress, adherence to safety regulations and manage the project within budget and time constraints.

·       Formally approve each stage of the construction process before the next stage can begin.

·       Coordinate construction teams.

·       Manage subcontractors.

·       Work closely with the Engineer to develop structural designs and resolve on-site issues.

·       Act as a technical resource for the construction teams, answering questions and offering guidance.

·       Prepare and present technical reports on project viability and progress to clients and stakeholders.

·       Investigate and diagnose structural problems that occur during construction, providing recommendations for repairs or modifications.

·       Identify potential structural risks and hazards and propose solutions to mitigate them.

·       Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients.

·       Prepare method statements.
