External Sales Representative

Our client, a leader in the industrial equipment rental industry, is seeking an experienced External Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the rental business, from heavy equipment to power generation and material handling solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing market share, maintaining key customer relationships, and driving new business opportunities across their assigned territory.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Identify, prospect, and secure new business within construction, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular site visits, relationship building, and exceptional service.
Collaborate with the operations and inside sales teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Provide accurate and timely quotations, proposals, and follow-up on all sales opportunities.
Maintain an up-to-date CRM with customer information, opportunities, and activity tracking.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and rental equipment solutions to position the company as a trusted partner.
3–5 years of external sales experience in the industrial or construction equipment rental industry (required).
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a B2B environment.
Strong understanding of rental operations, including fleet availability, logistics, and customer service expectations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with strong territory management and organizational abilities.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
R30 000 CTC to R35 000 CTC per month + Commission
