Korridor is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant for a dynamic multinational operating in Sub-Sahara Africa. The purpose of the role is to ensure tax compliance and accurate tax accounting, with support of in-country consultants. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate tax accounting and compliance for multinational group entities.
  • Manage tax audits, administrative compliance, and remediation of issues.
  • Handle tax administration, including CIT calculations, returns, and deferred tax.
  • Oversee Central Finance's tax administration (VAT, WHT, Payroll) and review related documents.
  • Accountable for responding to tax authorities, conducting tax health checks, and obtaining tax clearance certificates.
  • Maintain group tracking schedules and prepare management and shareholder status reports.
  • Keep up-to-date with tax regulatory developments across relevant countries.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BComm) and a postgraduate qualification in tax.
  • Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in tax, preferably within a multinational or accounting practice.
  • Professional certifications such as SAIT, SAIPA, ACCA, SAIBA, AGA(SA), or CA(SA) or equivalent.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, strong numerical ability, and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
