Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Port Elizabeth for a CCTV Technician Assistant. The CCTV Technician Assistant will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV and electronic security systems. They will support lead technicians with equipment setup, cable management, and system testing. Daily tasks include installations, ensuring equipment functionality, conducting routine inspections, and addressing any technical issues. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to follow safety protocols.

Qualifications


•       Valid PSIRA Registration


•       Valid Driver's licence


•       CRC - no older than 3 months


•       Must be in good health


•       Experience in electronic security installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting


•       Technical skills in equipment setup, cable management, and system testing


•       Attention to detail and the ability to conduct routine inspections


•       Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow them


•      Ability to work independently and support lead technicians


•      Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude


•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills


•      Relevant certifications or training in electronic security systems is a plus

  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
