Production Manger

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling:

• Maintain the order book daily, ensuring it reflects real-time factory operations.
• Assign due dates to orders aligned with monthly production targets.
• Resolve issues promptly to meet daily and monthly production goals.

Refurbishment Staff Management:

• Actively performance-manage refurbishment staff.
• Create cohesive team spirit within the refurbishment facility.
• Handle staff development, training, discipline, and timekeeping.

Quality, Health, and Safety:

• Ensure quality standards are met and adhered to
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Budget and Resource Management:

• Management of preventive maintenance ensuring machines and equipment run efficiently with no extended breakdowns.
• Control of production targets and costs
• Ordering of raw materials and semi-finished goods.

Process Optimisation and Reporting:

• Manage production to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Introducing new methods, machines and process to increase productivity and reliance on labour.
• Prepare and submit production reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Matric
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or a similar qualification (beneficial).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office (essential).
• Proven 5-10 years experience as a Production Manager.
• Experience with CNC machines and operating programs.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues.
• Decision-making skills under pressure.
• Leadership and management expertise to motivate staff and create an efficient work environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
