We are hiring
We're on the lookout for an experienced
Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer
to join our Forestry Enterprise Apps team. They will be responsible for the delivery of new value-add application solutions (both frontend and database backend), as well as the maintenance and support of established application solutions within Sappi. We are looking for someone who can devise and modify existing processes to solve problems; perform analysis of business and user needs; manage technical documentation and translate user requirements into proper system requirement specifications.

Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer
, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining frontend and backend components of Windows and Web applications.
  • Designing new software solutions alongside existing development teams according to best practices.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving bugs and system issues in live environments.
  • Developing and improving existing solutions and software development processes.
  • Assisting peer developers, and guiding junior team members, to help meet project deadlines.
  • Taking on responsibility for driving self and others to meet project deadlines.

What are we looking for?

  • Batchelors Degree / Diploma or relevant qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in software development, system design, and architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a project team environment, and be a good communicator who can build relationships with all levels of end users.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Oracle (PL/SQL) or Microsoft SQL Server (TSQL) databases, including database design, scripting and programmability.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in C# coding language, and in Microsoft .NET (Framework and Core), Windows and/or Web applications, RESTful APIs / web services.
  • Able to Design Systems based on Company Requirements and give accurate instructions and direction to junior team members.
  • Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver. Must be able to multitask and manage workload with minimal supervision.
