An opportunity exists for a skilled Deboning Manager to lead our deboning department. The role requires a strong, hands-on leader with expertise in deboning operations, yield management, and adherence to meat industry safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the deboning team to achieve production and quality targets.
- Monitor and control yields, minimizing waste and managing costs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Plan and coordinate daily operations to align production with customer demands.
- Motivate, coach, and develop staff to achieve departmental objectives.
- Analyse production data for performance improvement and reporting.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Minimum 5 years' meat deboning and supervisory/management experience.
- Strong understanding of abattoir operations and yield management.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other computer-based tools.
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance.
