Job description:

An exciting opportunity is currently available at our Head Office in Tygervalley for an Integrated Advice Specialist in Insure, reporting to the Head: Integrated Advice. If you have experience of the insurance landscape in South Africa, including thorough knowledge of Insurance Platforms, development & integrating of supporting advice systems, and looking for a rewarding career within the Financial Services Industry, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Support teams on key initiatives and new initiatives
  • Own and drive key features and requirements to successfully deliver the Insure Advice Process development & project epics
  • Work closely with Head Integrated Advice and Head Digital Advice for Insure to finalise specifications with developers
  • Preparation of presentations on features and epic development progress for reporting purposes
  • Effectively manage the translation of engineering requirements to development specifications
  • Working closely with engineering, interpreting engineering artifacts to translate into development specifications
  • Manage reporting in-line with project features and delivery: Analyse, structure reporting and identify opportunities for business process improvements.
  • Coordinate engagement sessions between business units to successfully integrate processes
  • Coordination of development into sprint with developers
  • Strategy: Assist in aligning activities to successfully deliver planned strategy regarding Insure Advice Process project direction and delivery.
  • Coordinate engineering documentation for Insure Advice Process and provide updates
  • Working with BA's and testers (pre and post development) to ensure accuracy of development
  • Actively works to build project understanding and solutioning; developed through experience and feedback from others
  • Translate engineering processes and business requirements to successfully implement development specifications
  • Prepare training material for release of any developments/enhancements for the Insure Advice Process
  • Drafting of marketing collateral for feature-based launches of digital advice tool
  • Training of RM's and advisers where the Advice Digital Technical Insure Specialists are not available
  • Conform to Target Operating Model way-of-work, to successfully drive project forward
  • Collaboration with PSG divisions on strategic projects and integrating of systems
  • Assist in preparing communications, reports and presentations to management and advisers on a regular basis, relating to the 6-step of advice and advice tools
  • Assist with troubleshooting of errors reported by users on advice process
  • Coordinate and drive development/enhancements raised & prioritised by the respective ATC's
Minimum requirements:
  • BEng Degree
  • 1+ years' experience in financial services
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in a financial advisory environment
Recommended requirements:
  • Engineering qualification
  • Experience in developing tools to support advice
  • Insurance industry knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience of insurance landscape and products
  • Willingness to travel from time to time within South Africa
  • Knowledge of South African financial regulatory landscape and awareness of developments.
  • Knowledge of Financial Planning principles in-line with the 6-Steps of Advice
  • Excellent ability to creatively translate engineering requirements into system developments, with thorough consideration of client experience
  • Exposure to working directly with financial advisers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
