IT Business Analyst – Fraud & Risk Systems (18 Month Contract), Midrand

We're hiring Two experienced IT Business Analysts are needed to join our client on an 18-Month (Renewable) Contract in Gauteng.

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities:

  • This role supports the Fraud & Risk Systems team, focusing on Fraud and Crime Intelligence solutions. You'll be involved in holistic analysis, stakeholder engagement, data interpretation, and system integration. Expect a dynamic environment with cross-functional collaboration and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Holistic analysis of risk and fraud solutions, including source systems and integration
  • Implementation of new fraud detection features
  • Collaboration with Forensics, Security, CRM, Big Data, and other teams
  • Conducting stakeholder interviews and workshops
  • Documenting and analysing business requirements
  • Developing use cases and user stories
  • Defining integration requirements (SQL, API specs)
  • Data analysis and pattern identification
  • Communicating requirements to development teams
  • Facilitating user acceptance testing
  • Contributing to architecture and design documentation
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies (backlog, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Post-implementation testing and operational support
  • Supporting SPDA processes and incident troubleshooting
  • Presenting priorities and progress updates

What you need:


Minimum 8 years' experience as an IT Business Analyst


Experience in Fraud and Crime Intelligence

Strong data analysis and interpretation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Strong attention to detail and accuracy


Experience with Agile methodologies

Ownership mindset and self-starter attitude

Technical Skills we're looking for:

Intermediate/Advanced SQL (Advantageous)

Strong Excel skills

Data analysis tools and techniques

API specification (Swagger/OpenAPI)

Agile tools and practices

Qualifications (Must-have):


BCom Information Systems, BSc Computer Science, or relevant qualification
