Data Architect (Databricks & Power BI)
Role Summary
We're assiting a remote-first multinational tech consultancy looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead complex and challenging data projects at a variety of enterprise clients. This is a key strategic role where you will translate complex business needs into robust, scalable data architectures.

You will be responsible for defining the blueprints for data platforms, setting standards for data governance, and guiding the engineering teams in their implementation. This position is ideal for a technical leader who is passionate about building modern data solutions with a strong focus on Databricks and Power BI.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Designing and documenting end-to-end cloud data architectures, from ingestion to analytics.
  • Creating scalable data platform blueprints using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Delta Lake and Spark.
  • Designing and implementing enterprise-scale data models and solutions within Power BI to support business analytics.
  • Defining and enforcing standards for data modelling, data quality, and data governance.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Providing technical leadership and high-level design assistance to data engineers and development teams.

What You Will Need To Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in data architecture, data modelling, or a senior data engineering role with architectural responsibilities.
  • Deep expertise in designing and building solutions on the Databricks platform.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing large-scale Power BI solutions, including complex data models and DAX.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a focus on building secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.
