About the Role

Cape Town Holiday Apartments (CTHA) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Short-Term Rental Assistant to coordinate property turnovers and ensure our diverse portfolio including apartments, houses, and villas is guest-ready at all times. This is an operational field-based role ideal for someone with proven hospitality experience in the short-term rental sector.

Minimum Requirements (STRICTLY ENFORCED)

  • Hospitality Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years in the hospitality industry, specifically in short-term rentals (e.g., Airbnb, , or similar platforms).
  • Coordination & Inspections:
  • At least 1 year hands-on experience with property coordination, turnover logistics, and conducting property inspections.
  • Driver's License:
  • Valid South African driver's license held for at least 3 years.
  • Minimum 1 year of city driving experience (Cape Town and surrounds).
  • Location:
  • Must be based in Cape Town or immediate surrounds and able to reliably travel between properties.
  • Other Essentials:
  • Matric (Grade 12) or higher.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Confident using smartphones, WhatsApp, and basic digital checklists.
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal).

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise property turnovers (cleaning, restocking, readiness) across a range of property types (apartments, houses, villas).
  • Conduct thorough property inspections before guest arrivals and after departures.
  • Shop for and restock guest amenities and property consumables.
  • Log and report maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate digital checklists and basic administrative records.
  • Liaise with the CTHA team and service providers as needed.
  • Welcome guest to their stay by means of Meet & Greet.
