Position available for a Product Developer (Toyota Parts Specialist) based in Centurion.

Job Purpose:
  • To source parts internationally and researching the local markets for price, product and market demand.
  • Build internal skills set for growth in the BMW product line
  • To enhance our product offering to our customer base
  • Build skills set across vehicle parc (diversity of model and make available)
Qualifications and or Experience:
  • Matric/ Grade 12 (Mathematics)
  • Preferred post matr4ic qualification/ Technical and or Mechanical Training
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office – especially in Excel
  • Understanding of procurement/supply chain
  • Sound Technical knowledge and understanding
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Product Development Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and best practices.
Responsibilities:
General and Task Management
  • Represent the Company in a professional, enthusiastic, and positive manner.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by yourself and the team.
  • Understand customer needs and ensure alignment with the needs/ commitments of the business.
  • Keep up to date and respond accordingly to all enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change to ensure efficiencies are maximised within department.
  • Ensure that all required metrics/ KPIs, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and training and safety records are updated and completed.
  • Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering continues improvement initiatives.
  • Research into new and existing vehicle parts within the industry.
  • Continuously review competitors' offerings to the market.
  • Understand the requirements of the market and market growth within industry.
  • Monthly/ weekly reports on new development and requirements/ market trends.
  • Acquiring new vehicle ranges and ensuring that parts are readily available to customers.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on the leaflet and other marketing initiatives.
  • Assist branches that dial in for assistance on parts and or general queries.
  • Make use of carpark information to determine current market demand.
