Our client is seeking a
Project Manager – IT & Business Systems
based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is a key role within the global IT team, responsible for leading and delivering a wide range of IT and business systems projects. You will oversee project timelines, manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure all documentation and reporting requirements are met. Reporting to the IT Director, you'll engage with stakeholders at multiple levels to ensure implemented solutions align with organizational objectives and standards.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT & Business Systems projects from initiation to completion, including developing project plans, establishing timelines, and defining project scope.
  • Allocate tasks and resources efficiently to optimize personnel, technology, and budget in achieving project objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including internal teams and vendors, ensuring transparency around project status, challenges, and changes.
  • Monitor budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project outcomes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks, both technical and non-technical.
  • Support the implementation of technology solutions, including enterprise systems, cloud-based platforms, and integration initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years' project management experience in IT and/or business systems.
  • Certification and proven expertise in Agile, PRINCE2, or PMP.
  • Strong understanding of business IT systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, payroll systems, etc.), software development, testing, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and solve complex challenges.
  • Adaptable, resilient, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • Ability to travel to sites as required for project delivery.
