About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Welding Technology Lecturer to join our training team. This role focuses on delivering introductory and foundational welding courses, including welding inspection training at Levels 1 and 2. The successful candidate will play a key role in educating future welding professionals while supporting senior lecturers in advanced courses.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1) Deliver lectures on welding technology, including:

  • Codes and standards
  • Heat treatment
  • Visual examination courses

2) Conduct and invigilate examinations for welding inspection courses.

3) Assist in maintaining and updating course materials.

4) Provide hands-on training and guidance to students.

5) Support practical learning initiatives, including arranging industry site visits.

6) Assist the welding training centre with:

  • Practical welding activities
  • Sample specification and bevelling requirements
  • Visual examination of samples

Minimum Requirements

  • Welding Inspector Level 1 and 2 qualifications.
  • Welding Inspector Level 2 certification plus Inspector of Pressurised Equipment or Competent Person status.
  • 5 years of engineering experience.
  • 5 years of experience as a welding inspector.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
