About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Welding Technology Lecturer
to join a leading technical training institution. This role is pivotal in delivering world-class welding education, shaping curriculum standards, and providing expert technical consultancy to industry partners.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Degree or National Higher Diploma in Engineering.
  • International Welding Engineer (IWE) or Technologist (IWT) certification.
  • SAIW Fabrication and Welding Inspector Level 2.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years in engineering or technical training.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding standards, codes, and procedures (ASME, EN, AWS, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development:

  • Design and update course materials for welding technology and inspection programs.
  • Review and maintain code-based courses aligned with ASME and EN standards.
  • Drive innovation in training programs and curriculum enhancements.

Training Delivery:

  • Facilitate advanced welding courses, including:
  • Welding Inspectors Level 1 & 2.
  • International Welding Practitioners, Specialists, and Technologists.
  • Competent Persons for Pressure Vessels and Steam Generators.
  • Specialized courses such as Welding Quality Management, Heat Treatment, and ASME Codes.

Examinations & Mentorship:

  • Conduct assessments and provide technical guidance to learners.
  • Support students through mentorship and career development.

Technical Consultancy:

  • Assist clients with welding procedure development, failure investigations, and compliance.
  • Manage welder qualification systems and national databases.
  • Oversee critical welding operations and ensure adherence to standards.

Industry Engagement:

  • Represent the organization on standards committees and industry forums.
  • Contribute to technical papers and thought leadership in welding technology.
