SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL - PRIVATE SECTOR (FINTECH) - MILNERTON Our client in the exciting world of fin tech, has a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced Legal Professional to provide support and guide their CEO and Exec team with negotiations, contracting and legal compliance. Requirements Competencies: -Robust commercial acumen and deep understanding of business dynamics. -Superior English language proficiency, including expertise in drafting and negotiatingcontracts. -Proactive and assertive self -starter with outstanding communication andpresentation skills. -Highly skilled in administration and organisation. -Keen attention to detail. -Proficient in conflict resolution with a track record of effective management. -Capable of working efficiently under pressure while consistently delivering highservice levels Requirements: -Bachelor of Law (LLB). -Admission as a legal practitioner/attorney. -At least 7 years post -article experience. -Experience in commercial and contractual law. -Experience in the National Payment Systems Act, National Credit Act, Banks Act,Consumer Protection Act and Protection of Personal Information Act would beadvantageous. -Strong drafting skills. -Proficient in Word and Excel. Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive legal support across various commercial matters, drivingstrategic decisions within a complex legal landscape.Provide general legal advice and support to the group of companiesregarding product offerings, processes, and functions within the business andindustry. Draft and review external and internal contracts and lead/support associatednegotiations. Conduct compliance and regulatory risk assessments for new or enhanced productofferings. Stay informed of legal developments and advise the executive team and board onpertinent changes. Deliver advice and training on relevant legislation, industry updates, andamendments. Develop and maintain the regulatory framework for the group, assessingthe impact of new legislation to ensure the business is well -prepared and controlsare effective. Create, implement, and oversee contracts, policies, and guidance documents inalignment with company policies and procedures. Coordinate various litigation matters, including general litigation and debt collection. Manage external legal counsel to enhance service delivery and cost -efficiency.
