About the Role

We're looking for a
detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper
to support Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions for our U.S.-based client in the promotional products industry.

In this role, you will work extensively in the
Syncore (Facilis)
platform, performing invoice submissions, PO matching, margin monitoring, and administrative documentation. This position suits someone who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working independently.

There is also potential for future cross-training into
Customer Service Representative (CSR)
responsibilities as the team expands.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

  • Submit client invoices through
    Syncore (Facilis)
  • Monitor aging reports and flag invoices over 90 days
  • Make light outbound follow-up calls/emails regarding invoice receipt and payment timelines
  • Escalate payment delays or irregularities to the U.S. Office Manager

Accounts Payable

  • Match purchase orders with vendor invoices in Syncore
  • Prepare batch payment runs for escalation/approval
  • Monitor margins (GPMs) and escalate if below thresholds

Administrative Support

  • Apply consistent color-coded documentation in Syncore (e.g., red = finance-related actions)
  • Follow internal guidelines for labeling, tracking, and urgency notes
  • Assist with future sample order entry or CSR functions (optional growth path)

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in
    finance, bookkeeping, or administrative support
  • Familiarity with
    Google Workspace
    (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while escalating issues appropriately
  • Experience with
    Syncore (Facilis)
    is highly advantageous

  • Office Beacon onboarding & promotional products industry training
  • Facilis/Syncore finance training
  • Optional client-led SOPs and tutorials

Johannesburg office-based
