Automation Test Engineer / SDET (Financial Services)
Join our client in the
Financial Services
sector and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional, high-quality solutions and driving innovation. This role is central to quality assurance, requiring a strong mix of technical development skills and deep domain knowledge.

This is a 12-month contract
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Development

  • Design and Development: Use the automation framework and pre-defined test tools to inspect, analyse, design, develop, and implement re-useable automated test assets.
  • Tooling: Develop, implement, and maintain robust automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium (for mobile/multi-platform testing), Healenium (for self-healing capabilities), RestAssured (for API testing), and JMeter (for performance testing).
  • Architectural Quality: Quality assure the solution and its architecture to ensure the overall integrity and stability of the product.

Testing & Collaboration

  • Testing Scope: Perform comprehensive automated testing, including functional, regression, and integration tests across both front-end and API layers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, work closely with developers and stakeholders to define testing requirements, manage tasks, and continuously identify opportunities for test process improvements.
  • Defect Management: Report and manage defects efficiently using JIRA and document all test results accurately.

Skills And Experience

  • Automation Tools: Proficient in Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, JMeter, and familiarity with self-healing libraries like Healenium.
  • Programming & Core Tools: Skilled in Java (or a similar modern language) for automation development, and experienced with JIRA, Xray, and other test management tools.
  • Testing Functions: Proven track record in QA with strong skills in front-end (UI), API Automation, and Non-Functional Testing (NFT), specifically Performance Testing.
  • Domain Expertise (Preferred): Preferable to have deep experience in the Financial Services sector, specifically in Business and Corporate environments, with specialized knowledge in Lending (Credit).
