Are you a strategic procurement professional with a passion for driving value, innovation, and supplier excellence? PG Bison is looking for a Divisional Category Manager to lead our sourcing and category management function at Head Office. This permanent role offers the opportunity to influence divisional strategy, manage complex portfolios, and lead a high-performing team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement.



Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term category strategies aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive performance improvements.

  • Lead cost management initiatives, risk mitigation, and benefits tracking.

  • Engage and influence divisional stakeholders through expert procurement advice.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing team.

  • Champion procurement excellence, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (NQF7) in Procurement or related field.

  • MCIPS/CIPS professional membership.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.

  • Proven experience supervising procurement functions and managing complex portfolios.
