Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Pastry Chef de Partie to lead a section of our pastry kitchen at Upper Union Restaurant. This role is ideal for a chef with a strong foundation in pastry arts who thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and execution of pastry items including plated desserts, breads, and specialty confections.
- Lead and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal changes with creative input.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a pastry role within a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent pastry qualification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage a section independently.
- A passion for innovation and excellence in pastry.
