Richard Spoor Inc Attorneys(RSI) is a public interest law firm specialising in constitutional law, administrative law, land rights, occupational health and safety matters and class actions.

Requirements:

  • Admitted attorney with 5 years post admission experience
  • Experience as litigator
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Advanced legal research and drafting skills
  • Previous experience or passion for human rights and public law
  • Written and verbal proficiency in more than one South African languages

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and reviewing complex discovery documentation and processes
  • Consult with clients
  • Brief and consult with counsel
  • Co-ordinating and planning large scale litigation
  • Draft legal submissions and opinions
  • Administrate client files
  • Engage with government and private institutions on clients behalf
  • Monitor progress of cases, including co-ordination of field work and other tasks
  • Preparation of client damages reports
  • Preparation of expert reports
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders and clients
  • Liaise with media
