FARM / PRODUCTION MANAGER (WHEAT & LIVESTOCK)

Riviersonderend

An established wheat and livestock (sheep) farm located 12 km from Riviersonderend has an excellent opportunity available for an energetic person who is interested in establishing a career in the agricultural industry.

The job incumbent will report directly to the owner and will be expected to become involved in all farming activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sheep farming in general
  • The cultivation of wheat, barley and canola
  • Supervision of labourers
  • Operating harvesters, sprayers and planter tractors

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Agricultural Diploma will be advantageous
  • Preferable experience in cropping and livestock (sheep) management, but it is not a prerequisite
  • Experience in operating farm machinery advantageous
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team
  • Valid driver's license
