Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a dynamic and creative professional responsible for creating, publishing, and monitoring content across social media channels, engaging with online communities, supporting campaigns, and assisting in broader digital marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate has depth and breadth of experience across all aspects of marketing and is a hands-on professional.
This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and an engaged approach to social media and content production, while ensuring all activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial and investment sector.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
- Set and monitor digital marketing KPIs, ensuring measurable progress and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesion across marketing initiatives.
- Seamlessly integrate and optimise all digital and social channels.
- Work closely with the executive overseeing the Marketing Portfolio and the Marketing Manager.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation):
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify organic growth opportunities.
- Optimise website content, structure, and metadata to improve search engine rankings.
- Monitor and report on SEO performance, providing actionable, data-driven recommendations.
- Implement on-page and off-page SEO best practices.
PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Advertising:
- Plan, create, and manage PPC campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and social media.
- Conduct keyword research and bid management to maximise ROI.
- Track and optimise key metrics (CTR, reach, conversions) and produce detailed ROI reporting.
- Develop and test ad copy, landing pages, and creative assets to improve conversion rates.
- Assist in executing paid media campaigns on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter/X, and Google.
- Ensure accurate, timely tracking and reporting of paid media performance.
Content Marketing:
- Create and manage high-quality content for blogs, websites, emails, and social media platforms.
- Develop and maintain content calendars to ensure consistent publication.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, and other content creators to produce engaging multimedia content.
- Implement content marketing strategies that support brand awareness, lead generation, and customer retention.
Social Media Marketing:
- Develop and implement strategies to build brand awareness, engagement, and community growth.
- Manage and grow the organisation's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and additional platforms.
- Create, schedule, and publish content using approved scheduling tools.
- Monitor interactions and respond to comments, mentions, and messages.
- Analyse social media performance and adjust strategies as required.
- Ensure familiarity with platform best practices, trends, and compliance guidelines.
Email Marketing:
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns including newsletters, product updates, and automated workflows.
- Segment audiences and personalise content to improve engagement and conversion.
- Monitor email performance (open rates, CTR, conversions) and optimise campaigns accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Use web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor and measure digital performance.
- Produce comprehensive reports covering campaign results, website traffic, customer behaviour, and other KPIs.
- Analyse data to extract insights and make data-driven recommendations.
- Continuously evaluate digital marketing strategies and identify opportunities for optimisation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing.
- Proven experience managing and optimising multi-channel digital campaigns.
- Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and analytics.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO tools, email platforms, social media management tools).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
