Our client, a leader in the shipping industry is seeking a Junior Administrative & Operations Assistant to join their team based in Cape Town.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential
  • Certificate or diploma in Business Administration or Logistics (advantageous but not required)
  • 0–2 years of experience in administration, invoicing, or data capturing (internship or part-time roles also acceptable).
  • Exposure to logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping is a plus but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Enthusiastic about developing a career in logistics and shipping
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook essential).

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Assist with preparing and sending client quotations.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes to support business conversion.
  • Generate and issue invoices under supervision, ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain filing systems and keep records organized.
  • Capture operational and client data into company systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the operations team.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding basic queries.
