Pre-Sales Specialist (Gauteng Region)
Location: Woodmead
Reporting to: Head of Product and Pre-Sales - ICT
As a key member of the sales team, the Pre-Sales Specialist will act as the technical sales enabler, supporting franchise sales efforts by demonstrating how our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions directly address client business challenges, compliance needs, and integration requirements. The primary focus is on driving sales growth through building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and enabling franchises to effectively sell and implement our solutions. This role bridges technical expertise and sales acumen to deliver compelling business value to prospects and customers.
REQUIREMENTSExperience and Skills
Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 3 years in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, or solution architecture role focused on enterprise software, preferably ECM or document management.
Proven track record with leading ECM platforms (DocuWare, OpenText, Microsoft SharePoint, M-Files, Laserfiche).
Deep understanding of document workflows, compliance frameworks (POPIA, GDPR), and digital transformation drivers.
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business benefits.
Preferred
Familiarity with BPM, RPA, and API-based system integration.
Experience with cloud-based ECM solutions.
Pre-sales or vendor certifications in ECM technologies.

Sales & Customer Relationship Management
Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop and maintain a robust multi-month sales pipeline, focusing on both new customer acquisition and cross-selling within the existing customer base.
Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and franchise partners to ensure continued business growth.
Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proposals that highlight customer needs, tailored solutions, cost/ROI, and competitive advantages.
Sales Enablement & Product Expertise
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and certifications to effectively position solutions in the market.
Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to support franchise sales training programs, including eLearning and face-to-face sessions.
Strategic Sales Planning
Develop and implement franchise-specific sales plans aligned with budget targets and growth objectives, monitored quarterly.
Work closely with franchise sales managers to execute customer acquisition and penetration strategies.
Ensure franchise partners actively incorporate ECM solutions into their business operations to maximize sales opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
Support any other sales-related initiatives or assignments as directed by the Head of Product and Pre-Sales ICT or C-level executives.
