We are seeking an experienced, performance-driven Cluster Regional Director to oversee and drive academic, operational, and financial excellence across our Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal campuses. This strategic leadership role focuses on achieving institutional targets, maintaining compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and results.
Purpose of the Role
The Cluster Regional Director will provide strategic and operational leadership to a group of campuses, ensuring institutional policies, academic standards, and growth objectives are implemented effectively. The incumbent will be accountable for meeting enrolment, retention, and financial performance targets, while enhancing student satisfaction and team performance across all campuses.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Develop and execute regional strategies that align with AIFT's overall institutional goals and performance targets.
- Provide clear leadership, vision, and direction to Campus Managers and departmental heads.
- Monitor and ensure campuses meet their monthly and annual registration, revenue, and retention targets.
- Track operational performance metrics and implement corrective measures where targets are not met.
- Drive campus efficiency, resource optimization, and overall profitability within the cluster.
2. Academic and Quality Assurance
- Ensure strict adherence to DHET, QCTO, SETA, and CHE compliance standards.
- Maintain high academic standards through effective quality assurance systems and regular performance reviews.
- Oversee student throughput, completion rates, and teaching quality to ensure academic excellence.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Academic teams to support continuous improvement and meet accreditation standards.
3. Financial and Business Growth
- Manage campus budgets, financial controls, and cost structures to achieve profitability goals.
- Drive student recruitment and registration growth in collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams.
- Achieve revenue, registration, and collection targets across all campuses in the cluster.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and programme expansions to increase market share.
4. People Leadership and Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and coach Campus Managers and their teams toward achieving set goals.
- Foster a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs linked to individual and campus targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure accountability for outcomes.
- Encourage collaboration and innovation while maintaining high levels of staff engagement and morale.
5. Student Experience and Stakeholder Relations
- Oversee the student experience to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Proactively address student concerns, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
- Represent AIFT at accreditation visits, external engagements, and stakeholder events to strengthen institutional credibility.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Education Management, or related field (Master's Degree advantageous).
- Minimum of 8–10 years of senior management experience, preferably within the education, TVET, or higher education sectors.
- Demonstrated success in achieving operational, financial, and enrolment targets.
- Strong understanding of DHET, QCTO, SETA, and CHE compliance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, financial management, and strategic planning skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
