As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, the selected candidate will be responsible for creating a suitable work environment, ensuring facilities are clean and well maintained. Responsibilities of Facilities Technician:

  • Fostering a professional work environment.
  • Inspecting and repairing common electrical, plumbing, HVAC services.  
  • Managing equipment and supply needs, to include: Furniture, janitorial supplies, and other office equipment.
  • Groundskeeping
  • Good communication skills: ensure all involved parties are kept informed across all channels.
  • Possess competency in painting, carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls, after hours or weekends, as business conditions dictate.

Facilities Lead Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Facilities Maintenance, in a similar environment.
  • Extensive experience with building and equipment repairs, including high levels of proficiency with wide array of hand and power tools.
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance records or work performed.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and in accordance with ACT Safety Policy.
  • Comfortable with typical office software, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Superior Organizational and Communication Skills. High level of interpersonal skill.
  • Works well under pressure and ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.   
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, consistently throughout the workday.
  • Walk, Carry and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable with ladders and working at heights; schooled in ladder safety.
  • Load/Unload supply trucks, knowledgeable and familiar with hand trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Possession of a valid drivers' license.
  • Successful candidates must submit to post-offer, pre-employment background screening.
