We are seeking a Newly Admitted Attorney to join our Cape Town office. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of civil and commercial litigation matters from inception to conclusion.
  • Draft and review pleadings, contracts, affidavits, opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare court documents and correspondence.
  • Attend court appearances, consultations, and negotiations where required.
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide legal advice and support to the firm's clients on diverse legal matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with rights of appearance.
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-admission experience (newly admitted candidates with strong training experience may be considered).
  • Proven experience or exposure in civil litigation, commercial law, and family law.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in English (Afrikaans proficiency will be advantageous).
  • Must be Cape Town-based or willing to relocate.
