Purpose:
The
Senior Manager: Integrated Reporting
is accountable for leading a cross-campus team responsible for the delivery, optimisation, and innovation of enterprise-wide business insights through routine and ad hoc reporting.
The role ensures the business receives timely, trusted, and actionable analytical products that underpin operational and strategic decision-making. This includes defining and executing a strategic roadmap, building collaborative partnerships across the organisation, and driving innovation in reporting practices to enhance delivery, usability, and value over time. The incumbent acts as a key driver of self-service enablement, optimisation, and improved user experience across the reporting value chain.
Key Performance Areas:
- Integrated Reporting Delivery Oversight:
Lead the delivery of routine and ad hoc reporting across business domains, ensuring alignment to business cadence, quality standards, and decision-making needs. Oversee delivery workflows, manage prioritisation, and ensure consistent, high-impact outputs - Stakeholder Engagement and Service Value Alignment:
Act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders by shaping expectations, translating operational and customer experience needs into analytical products, and managing intake and prioritisation through structured demand management processes - Strategic Roadmap and Product Enablement:
Define and maintain a strategic roadmap for enterprise reporting, modernising reporting practices through automation, self-service, and scalable processes to drive efficiency and reduced reliance on manual effort. Ensure roadmap execution is guided by structured demand intake and aligned to stakeholder value, operational cadence, and product lifecycle principles - Reporting Quality, Governance, and Optimisation:
Embed reporting lifecycle management practices, ensuring standardisation, documentation, and quality assurance across all deliverables. Identify opportunities for efficiency gains, process optimisation, and delivery consistency across reporting products - Team Leadership and Capability Enablement:
Lead, develop and support the performance, cohesion, and professional growth of a cross-campus reporting team between Johannesburg and Cape Town, fostering a high-performance, values-aligned culture. Champion collaborative delivery and shared problem-solving - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with the Data Product, Platform Enablement, and other Advanced Insights teams to develop scalable, integrated, and governed analytical products aligned to enterprise data strategy and architecture.

- Reliable, timely, and strategically aligned delivery
of enterprise-wide business insights, routine and ad hoc reports, supporting both operational execution and strategic decision-making. - Prioritised and actively managed reporting roadmap
that balances business demand, modernisation opportunities, and available team capacity to drive automation, self-service, and efficiency. - Consistent, high-quality reporting outputs
supported by robust documentation, lifecycle management, and adherence to data governance, standardisation, and QA practices. - Visible stakeholder engagement and alignment
, including participation in governance forums, business prioritisation discussions, and value-based progress reporting. - Improved reporting efficiency and user experience
through automation, optimisation, and self-service enablement, reducing manual effort and increasing business responsiveness. - Collaborative, high-performing team culture
across Johannesburg and Cape Town, with clear delivery ownership, shared problem-solving, and visible development of team capabilities. - Integrated, scalable reporting products
developed in collaboration with the Data Product, Platform Enablement, and Advanced Insights teams, aligned to enterprise architecture and product lifecycle practices.

Knowledge Areas:
- Power BI, SQL, AWS (primary); SAP Business Objects, SAS, Excel automation (secondary)
- Report lifecycle, process optimisation and quality assurance
- Basic data governance and metadata practices
- Agile tooling and ways of work (SAFe, Jira, Confluence)
- Data / analytical products frameworks and self-service enablement
- Automation and efficiency opportunities within BI
- Understanding of healthcare and operational data (advantageous)
Experience and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with majors in Analytics, Data Science, Operational Research or Mathematical Statistics, Engineering or a relevant quantitative field (required)
- Postgraduate degree or formal leadership qualification (preferred)
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in reporting, analytics, or business insight roles
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a team lead or delivery leadership role
- Exposure to healthcare, insurance, or financial services industries (advantageous)
