Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AI Governance Lead to ensure safe, compliant, and effective governance across a portfolio of AI initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about the intersection of AI, compliance, and responsible innovation. The selected candidate will oversee governance frameworks, data integrity, and output quality, particularly where AI systems are developed or maintained by third-party providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, POPIA, and internal governance standards.
  • Oversee the integration of AI agents with trusted data sources to maintain factual grounding and reliable system outputs.
  • Supervise the implementation of validation and filtering mechanisms to ensure prompt sanitation, factual accuracy, and policy compliance.
  • Lead quality assurance (QA) processes to minimize risks of non-compliant or erroneous AI behavior.
  • Design and monitor alert mechanisms for detecting unusual or risky AI outputs.
  • Collaborate with external AI development teams to ensure their systems and deliverables align with governance and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on AI governance performance, compliance levels, and system integrity.
