Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role located in the City of Cape Town for a Swimming Teacher. The Swimming Teacher will be responsible for conducting swim lessons across various levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing swimming programs, ensuring swimmer safety, and providing feedback and guidance to swimmers to help them improve their technique. Instructors will also engage with parents and guardians to report on progress and address any concerns. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Swim Instruction, Swim Lessons, and Teaching skills
  • Strong swimming abilities and experience in Aquatics
  • Lifeguarding skills and knowledge of safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus
  • Previous experience working with children and adults in a swim instruction setting is beneficial
  • Relevant accreditation or certification in swim instruction is preferred
