Seeking a results driven Financial Manager with a passion for driving profitability in a fast-paced retail environment. This requires a solid background in financial planning, budgeting and cost control. The business has been in operation since 1954 with a proven track record of supporting strategic decisions.

Duties: 
  • Financial planning and budgeting 
  • Financial reporting and analysis 
  • Cost control and optimization 
  • Cash flow and asset management 
  • Compliance and internal controls 
  • Leadership and collaboration 
  • Strategic support
  • Process purchases orders, invoices and expense reports 
  • Match invoices with delivery notes 
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding issues 
  • Maintain and update accounts payable records 
  • Communicate with supplier and internal departments to resolve invoice payment queries
  • Assist with month-end activities, including accruals and reconciliations 
  • Monitor accounts to ensure that payments are up to date
  • Support audits by providing the necessary documentation and reports
  • Prepare payment batches and assist with EFT uploads and cheque payments

Qualifications and Work Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience  
  • Relevant Diploma
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Matric/Grade 12 
    • Minimum work experience 
    • 2 years relevant experience

  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Quick problem solver 
  • Team players work independently
  • Computer literate 
  • Microsoft Excel 
  • Financial background
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Being able to work independently as well as be a team player
  • Organized with ability to adapt to change
