The Opportunity:

We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a Newly Admitted Attorney to launch their career in corporate tax law. This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and establish themselves in a highly specialised field.

No prior experience in tax law is required. Instead, we are looking for a candidate with the passion and commitment to invest in their development, embracing a steep learning curve in a fast-paced consulting environment. This role is client-facing and requires a high level of agility, resilience, and resourcefulness. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience, working alongside seasoned professionals, and will be supported every step of the way as they develop expertise in tax law and SARS engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and consultants to address complex tax matters.
  • Engage with SARS on behalf of clients, navigating legal and procedural requirements.
  • Draft legal opinions, correspondence, and other technical documents.
  • Conduct thorough research on tax-related legal cases and principles.
  • Participate in client consultations to develop tailored solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) (Required).
  • Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa (Required).
  • Strong academic foundation and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems strategically.
