Job Description

Our R&D team is tasked with designing and developing both our new PtX (plant-made) products and optimizing existing manufacturing processes. By joining this team, you will contribute towards driving new plant-made product and process innovation through technical expertise and customer centricity. The team engages in continuous experimentation, ISO 13485 design and development adoption, investigation, and facilitation of collaborations and partnerships with like-minded people and organisations.

Your particular contribution to the team as an R&D Scientist will be the development of protein analytical techniques and characterisation methods (ELISA, Western Blot, SDS-PAGE, SPR) and protein purification (chromatography) for a variety of diagnostic reagents used in the Rapid Diagnostic Test Kits catered to diagnosing prevalent infectious diseases in Low-Middle Income Countries.

As we are a small and fast-growing start-up, you will be exposed to a wide variety of responsibilities and opportunities for growth. For example, you will liase with Sales & Marketing on new product proposals, compile technical reports for Technology Transfers, implement various QMS standards and procedures with Quality (QA and QC), and work with Finance to provide costings and deliver the project according to strict project plans.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Molecular & Cell Biology.
  • Experience in analytics techniques, SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) is highly advantageous.
  • 3+ years' post studies experience.
  • Ideally, skilled in DoE.
