The role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo.

This is a Fixed Term role.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Monitor dewatering pumps on-site to ensure continuous operation
• Conduct routine inspections of pipes, hoses, valves for wear, leaks or damage.
• Perform basic mechanical checks and report faults to maintenance personnel
• Report faults, stoppages, leaks or safety risks immediately
• Assist with maintenance such as clearing blockages and debris
• Monitor lubricant levels regularly and refill or replace as needed.
• Assist with pump installations
• Maintain good housekeeping around the pump area to prevent hazards

This role is at a Band 9 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman.

• Grade 12

Experience, Technical knowledge skills

• 3 years related experience will be advantageous.
• Trained in pump operations
• Pump operation: Operate, monitor, and install pumping equipment and related systems.
• Equipment inspection and maintenance: Inspect equipment for malfunctions (like leaks or worn bearings), perform minor repairs, and lubricate components using hand tools.
• Piping and fitting: Install pumps, pipes, and associated fittings.
• Reporting defects: Clearly report any defects or problems to a supervisor.
• Good housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness in and around the pump area.
