**Position Summary**:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Software Engineer to join the dynamic Fraud Product Engineering Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the technical enablement of Financial Crime initiatives. Your primary focus will be on integrating various fraud prevention strategies across the place, enhancing both operational efficiency and client service.

**Required Qualifications**:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Atleast 6+ years of experience in Java development.

  • Experience with AWS services and microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with financial crime or fraud prevention systems.

**Skills Required**:

  • Proficient in Java programming.

  • Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Expertise in domain-driven design.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Java applications for fraud prevention.

  • Develop and integrate AWS microservices to support fraud detection and prevention.

  • Utilize domain-driven design principles to create scalable and robust software solutions.

  • Implement DevOps practices to streamline deployment and operations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across different environments.

  • Continuously enhance system performance and reliability.

**Role Type**:

  • The role is based in Stellenbosch.

  • Hybrid work model with 3 – 4 days at the office per week.
