A medium sized construction company with offices in Johannesburg are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator

**Minimum requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years technical experience and proven ability to develop professional tenders in electrical and instrumentation (E&I) projects.
- Completed diploma / degree in Engineering / Management.
- Must have good construction and engineering contractual knowledge.
- Must be computer literate, specifically with MS Office Suite and CCS (Candy).

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Prepare Electrical and Instrumentation estimates as directed.
- Carefully study tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Scrutinise the overall accuracy of the materials take-off, bills of quantities and specifications issued by the engineering department.
- Prepare material take-off for the E&I scope for proposals when there is no support available from engineering if the situation arises.
- Preparation of commercial adjudication of materials, equipment, and subcontract
- quotations.
- Participate in the introduction of new techniques in estimating.
- Conduct site visits as and when required.
- Ensure that detailed spreadsheets are completed and that an accurate bid analysis is carried out on all quotations received. Ensure all files are maintained as per company quality assurance procedures and full traceability maintained.
- Any other guidance as given by the Estimating Manager or his designate.
