FOCI Group is seeking a
qualified HVAC Artisan
to join our Engineering Division.


Please note: This position is strictly for candidates with a recognised HVAC Trade Test qualification — not general mechanical, plumbing, or electrical trades.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain
    HVAC systems
    , including split units, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, AHUs, ducting, and ventilation networks.
  • Conduct system diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure full compliance with
    SANS
    ,
    OHS
    , and manufacturer standards.
  • Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance logs accurately.
  • Work closely with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality HVAC solutions.
  • Identify energy-efficient system improvements and recommend performance optimisations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Trade Test Certificate:
    Qualified
    HVAC Artisan / Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal)
    —
    no other trades will be considered.
  • Qualification:
    Minimum
    N3–N6 Certificate
    in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering (HVAC stream).
  • Minimum
    3–5 years' practical experience
    in HVAC installation, servicing, and maintenance.
  • Proven experience working with
    VRV/VRF systems, chillers, compressors, and ducting systems
    .
  • Valid
    driver's license
    and willingness to travel to multiple project sites.
  • Strong knowledge of
    system commissioning, controls, and HVAC safety procedures
    .
