Our client,
a construction company situated in Paarl
, is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The ideal candidate has a background in measuring and valuing structural works and managing cost control across multiple projects.
Responsibilities will include:
*Measure and prepare fortnightly valuations for structural work items *Prepare, review, and price variation orders in coordination with project teams *Maintain updated quantities and cost control documentation *Support project management with accurate cost forecasting and reporting *Liaise with site teams to verify progress and validate measured work *All other duties related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management;
• Approximately 3 years post-qualification experience in the construction;
• Strong understanding of building measurement and BOQ preparation;
• Experience in preparing and pricing variation orders;
• Ability to manage project cost reporting and valuations on a fortnightly basis;
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Excel required, CCS Candy software will be advantageous);
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English);
• Willingness to work in different areas for projects, including Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek.
Commencement date: January 2026
