As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and efficient cloud infrastructure and solutions using AWS. This key role will support our engineering teams in meeting their analytics needs while ensuring our cloud environment operates effectively.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain advanced cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services to support engineering teams' infrastructure requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate cloud infrastructure needs into scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Implement monitoring, testing, and automation processes to improve cloud infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, upholding coding standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure development.
  • Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Lead efforts to create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure build and releases.
  • Establish sustainable deployment patterns and processes for releasing cloud infrastructure.
  • Promote DevOps best practices by guiding team members in coding standards and development processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cloud systems and operational processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering, or related field.
  • AWS cloud certification
  • 5+ years of experience with the AWS cloud platform, focusing on data processing, storage, and solution development.
  • Proficient in building and managing cloud infrastructures using Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Skills in Python for AWS API interactions.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EMR, EC2, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and version control systems (e.g., Git).
