REPORTING TO

Service Manager

MAIN DUTIES

Liaise with customers

Maintaining units (elevators and escalators) as per planned maintenance schedule.

Carrying out timeous repairs to prevent breakdowns

Attending to call-backs, perform standby 24 hours and 7 days a week

Actively promote S and T sales in the area, execute T service work

Complete reports / timesheets as per requirements

Ensure safe-keeping of company tools and equipment

Train apprentice on site

QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be in possession of an N3 or equivalent qualification

Electrical Diploma and SABS 1545 Accreditation would be an advantage

Minimum of five years post apprenticeship experience

Must have completed their trade test and be in possession of their trade test certificate.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Sound technical background, with expertise in both Otis and non-Otis units

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently

Must be prepared to work overtime and on weekends

Ability to work on lifts and escalators

Promote Service Excellence Principles
