We're on the lookout for a battle-hardened Security Support Engineer with a track record of solving perplexing technical conundrums, and an unquenchable thirst for all things security .

About the Role

As a Security Support Engineer, you will provide essential technical support to customers by not only answering queries but also offering guidance on deployments, integrations, and a kind of incident-response-lite. This role is being recruited directly by RedHerd on behalf of our client, a leader in security technology.

What We Are Looking For

  • Support Engineer: Mid to superhero sysadmin/network engineer with a love for security.

  • Networking Expertise: Strong experience in networking, including firewalls, DNS, encryption, and general cybersecurity principles.

  • Tinkerer Mentality: Enjoys experimenting with different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) to understand how they work under the hood.

  • Quick Learner: Ability to grasp new systems, applications, and services rapidly.

  • Scripting/Automation: Some experience in scripting and automation.

  • Curiosity: A mindset that constantly seeks to understand and explore new technologies.

  • Excellent Communication: Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on deployments and assist customers with security product implementations.

  • Work across Windows, macOS, Linux, and platforms like VMware, Nutanix, OpenStack, GCP, Azure, and AWS.

  • Set up and troubleshoot integrations, including MFS, SSO, Syslog, Webhooks, APIs, and more.

  • Continuously learn and document new services, applications, and tools, creating guides for customer success.

  • Provide comprehensive technical support, troubleshooting, and customer education.

  • Ensure seamless communication of technical issues and solutions across varying levels of expertise.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with empathy, patience, and professionalism.

  • Collaborate effectively with the team to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
