Our client in the Manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Turner to join their team. Please note that this is a fixed-term contract.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate conventional and CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications accurately.
  • Select and set appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
  • Assist with setup, calibration, and routine maintenance of machines.
  • Operate a 25-ton Overhead Crane and Forklift safely to move materials and components.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to company health and safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet project timelines.
 
Experience & Qualification
  • Trade Tested Turner or equivalent qualification.
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric).
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficient in both manual and CNC turning.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
  • Valid 25-ton Overhead Crane Licence.
  • Valid Forklift Licence.
  • Must be a local candidate (Benoni or surrounding areas).
