Role Description

The Head role at Nexa-Agent is a full-time on-site position based in Durban. The role involves overseeing and managing strategic initiatives, leading the conceptualization and development of AI-driven projects, and ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and mission. The Head will guide cross-functional teams, supervise the successful execution of transformative projects, and build relationships with stakeholders and partners. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying market trends, ensuring adherence to ethical and security standards, and driving comprehensive strategies tailored to organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and strategic management experience with a proven ability to oversee and guide cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Expertise in AI systems, agent-based frameworks, and digital transformation tools.
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills to navigate complex challenges and create innovative solutions.
  • Experience in collaboration and stakeholder engagement to foster partnerships and cross-sector projects.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to articulate vision, strategies, and technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical AI principles, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Experience leading projects in a technology-based or startup environment is a strong advantage.
