AIDE: INSTRUMENT MECHANICIAN X1 (GRADING B2)

Qualifying Criteria :

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 (with Mathematics & Science).
  • N2 Certificate in Instrumentation or relevant trade theory subjects.
  • Must have an Aide Certificate
  • Basic understanding of instrumentation principles and plant processes.
  • Previous exposure/experience in a plant or industrial environment will be advantageous.
  • Physically fit, safety-conscious, and willing to work shifts/overtime when required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • South African Citizenship
  • Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with inspections, fault finding, and repairs on instrumentation and control systems.
  • Support with the installation and calibration of sensors, transmitters, gauges, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision.
  • Ensure tools, spares, and equipment are prepared and available for daily activities.
  • Comply with safety procedures and regulations at all times.
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
  • Provide support to senior staff as required in daily operations.
  • Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
  • Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1 Group's safety motto: "Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely"
