Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chief Procurement Officer role located in the City of Johannesburg. The Chief Procurement Officer will oversee the procurement function, ensuring effective supply management, negotiating contracts, and maintaining best practices across the supply chain. Responsibilities include managing procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing vendor relationships, and optimizing cost efficiency while maintaining quality and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Proficiency in Supply Management and Contract Negotiation
  • Experienced in Contract Management and vendor relationship development
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in procurement
  • Leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage large-scale procurement strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (a master's degree is an advantage)
  • Extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, and leadership roles
