Job responsibilities

  • Machine setup:

Install specified dies and adjust machine settings, such as die pressure and speed, according to work orders and product specifications.

  • Operation:

Feed material into the machine, start the process, and monitor the automated operation, ensuring a steady and continuous flow.

  • Quality control:

Inspect finished parts using tools like micrometers and thread gauges to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.

  • Maintenance:

Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and ensure the machine is running efficiently.

  • Documentation:

Complete production reports, record any issues, and maintain accurate production records.

  • Safety:

Adhere to all safety regulations, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use hoists or other equipment for heavy lifting when necessary.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with an associate's degree or trade school apprenticeship being preferred.

  • Experience:

Experience as an operator, and preferably a thread roller operator, is often required. Some jobs may require 3-5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing setting.

Technical skills:

· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.

· Proficiency with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges.
