Senior Data Engineer / Analyst – 2-Year Contract (Onsite in Pretoria)

We're looking for a
Senior Data Engineer / Analyst
to join a major
financial transformation programme
within the banking sector. This is a full-time,
onsite role (5 days per week in Pretoria)
starting
1 November 2025
and running until
31 October 2027
.


Role Overview:

Join a multi-year IT transformation initiative focused on process renewal, data optimisation, and systems improvement. The role combines
data engineering, process design, and business analysis
, supporting a strategic modernisation programme within financial services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and optimise business processes and value chains
  • Identify and integrate automation opportunities
  • Analyse, design, and develop improved data and process flows
  • Develop process documentation, operating models, and related artefacts
  • Collaborate with architects, SMEs, and technical experts to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions


Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in IT, Informatics, Engineering, or Business Information Systems
  • 7–10 years relevant experience, with at least 5 years in
    process engineering
  • Experience with
    process modelling tools
    (e.g., ADONIS or similar)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills


Advantageous:

  • Business Architecture, Lean, or Six Sigma certification
  • BPMN / CBPP certification
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid environments
  • Prior experience in financial services or banking


Rate:
R500 per hour


Location:
Onsite, Pretoria


Duration:
2 years (Nov 2025 – Oct 2027)
