Multi Award Winning Nursery-Stodels is looking for a dynamic Department Manager - Nursery to head up the Department at our Somerset west Garden Centre. The position will report directly to the Branch Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for profitability of the Department Managing staff
  • Effective stock management and optimize layout opportunities
  • Hard Landscaping merchandise quality standards, VM standards and general housekeeping standards
  • Driving high levels of customer service standards
  • Report analysis
  • HR, IR and staff development

CRITERIA NEEDED:

  • Minimum of 3 years retail experience at management level or level equivalent in
  • exposure and or responsibility
  • A successful record in sales, profit management, stock management including purchase
  • management, staff management, tactical and strategic planning
  • Must be organised, efficient, creative and assertive with strong communication skills on
  • all levels
  • Sound retail business acumen understanding the drivers of profitability
